Fashion Revolution 2018: Who made your clothes?
As we wrap up the last day of fashion revolution week, we'd like to remind everyone what ethical fashion really means.
Ethical Fashion ( ˈeTHək(ə)l ˈfaSHən ) : is an umbrella term to describe ethical fashion design, production, retail, and purchasing. It covers a range of issues such as working conditions, exploitation, fair trade, sustainable production, the environment, and animal welfare.
All of our design and production takes place in-house in Mississauga, and all materials are up-cycled from old damaged clothing. As for our packaging, we ensure prior to purchase, that all materials are 100% recyclable. No jacket is wrapped in plastic, but rather in tissue paper, a brown bag or a cardboard box. This is all in efforts to minimize our ecological footprint.
Stay tuned to a new concept coming to the forefront of SNV, Made For You recognizes the fashion industry's waste and overconsumption, and fills the concept of using only what you need.
May the fashion revolution live on, and may no man or women fall again to fashion's vanity.
